To strengthen our team, we are looking for an experienced Financial Controller (m/f/d) who will actively shape our financial management and accompany us into the next growth phase.
Your responsibilities
Reporting & Planning
- Monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting
- Preparation of budgets, forecasts, and variance analyses
- Development of transparent dashboards and analyses
KPI Analysis & Management
- Analysis of relevant e-commerce and company KPIs
- Monitoring of company figures
- Ensuring data quality
Strategy & Processes
- Support management in strategic decisions
- Further development of our controlling and reporting processes
- Close collaboration with marketing, operations, and management
Financial Statements & Compliance
- Support with annual financial statements
- Collaboration with tax advisors and external partners
Your Profile
- Completed degree in Business Administration, Finance, Controlling or similar
- Several years of professional experience in controlling, ideally in an e-commerce, fashion, or digital environment
- Excellent analytical skills and strong affinity for numbers
- Experience with BI tools like Power BI or Tableau
- Proficient in Excel and/or Google Sheets
- Understanding of e-commerce and marketing KPIs is a plus
- Structured, independent, and solution-oriented way of working
- Entrepreneurial thinking and a hands-on mentality
- Very good German and English language skills

About the Role
As Head of Product & Buying at étalon vert, you will take overall responsibility for the strategic development of our product portfolio. You will define the assortment strategy, manage the entire product lifecycle, and be responsible for both buying and sourcing. You will combine a strong brand understanding with commercial thinking and build scalable, sustainable structures.
Your Responsibilities
Product Strategy & Assortment
- Development and implementation of the overarching product and assortment strategy
- Responsibility for seasonal collection planning in the equestrian and lifestyle sector
- Management of sales, margins, and product performance
- Derivation of data-driven decisions based on sales, market, and customer analyses
Buying & Sourcing
- Strategic management of purchasing and establishment of efficient purchasing processes
- Development and management of an international supplier network
- Conducting price negotiations and ensuring optimal cost structures

Product Development
- Overall responsibility for the development process from concept to market launch

Trend & Market Understanding
- Identification of relevant trends in equestrian sports, performance wear, and lifestyle
- Recognition of innovation potential in materials, technologies, and product concepts
Your Profile
- Completed degree in fashion, textile management, business administration, or a comparable field
- Several years of experience in a leadership role in product, buying, or sourcing
- Experience in building and scaling product structures and supply chains
- Affinity for equestrian sports (desirable) – you understand the requirements of riders and products in use
- Strong sense for trends, brand positioning, and target groups
- Excellent entrepreneurial and analytical skills
- Business fluent English
- Structured and solution-oriented way of working
